The government has finally cleared a flight to bring back 300 domestic workers from Saudi Arabia

The government has finally cleared a flight to bring back 300 domestic workers from Saudi Arabia tomorrow.
The Permanent Secretary for the health ministry, Dr. Diana Atwine noted that the 300 Ugandans are mostly domestic workers who entered the country illegally and were in deportation centers, or do not have funds to survive in the country, while others tested positive of COVID-19 and want to return but have no means.
As a result, she said the health ministry was under pressure to clear the group's return yet the country had already exceeded it quota of 300 returnees every two weeks in order to avoid congestion for better management of suspects and patients.
The country currently has 972 returnees in institutional quarantine, out of the 2,154 who have arrived since June 22nd.
However, the government has cleared the return of the group from Saudi Arabia.
Ambassador Patrick Mugoya, the Permanent Secretary ministry of Foreign Affairs, says that the flight has been organised by the Saudi government.

On the phrase, "Allahu Akbar" Ψ§Ω„Ω„Ω‡ Ψ£ΩƒΨ¨Ψ±

written :Yasir Qadhi

On the phrase, "Allahu Akbar" Ψ§Ω„Ω„Ω‡ Ψ£ΩƒΨ¨Ψ±
During these days, there is no question that of the greatest and most encouraged and most blessed deeds is the constant dhikr of Allah, and of these adhkār, the one that has been explicitly linked and encouraged in these days is the takbīr.
Saying 'Allah Akbar' is something that Muslims do constantly, yet few appreciate its profundity.
It was the first dhikr to be commanded by Allah in the Quran, in the second revelation, "And your Lord: magnify Him" وَΨ±َΨ¨َّΩƒَ فَΩƒَΨ¨ِّΨ±ْ [Mudathir;3].
It is the dhikr that we have been commanded to begin each and every prayer with, and we use to move between every pillar within the prayers.
It is the dhikr that we begin and end our adhān with.
It is the dhikr that is the hallmark of our Eid celebrations and festivals.
It is the dhikr that is said at any happy occasion and at every manifest victory.
It is the dhikr that is most associated with our religion.
Saying it brings courage, verbalizing it grants us comfort, invoking it reinvigorates faith.
But what does it mean? The phrase intentionally has 'missing' parts to it from a grammatical standpoint. Typically, such a phrase in Arabic would be restricted with the entity that it is being compared with, and the aspect that is the subject of comparison. If it were done for any human being, for example, a similar grammatical sentence would read 'Ahmed is better than his classmates in maths.' Even if a specific aspect is not verbalized, it is impossible that a created entity is better than all other entities, and hence the restriction of both entity and concept would be understood by context.
When it comes to the takbΔ«r, however, the entity that is being preferred over, and the aspect of how it is being preferred over, are both left blank, unconditionally. The 'missing' parts are intended, BECAUSE YOU CAN FILL IN THOSE PARTS WITH ANYTHING, and you would be correct. There is no restriction on any aspect of Allah, with respect to any of the creation.
So when you face an enemy, " Ψ§Ω„Ω„Ω‡ Ψ£ΩƒΨ¨Ψ±: Allah is more powerful than any foe."
When you worship Allah, " Ψ§Ω„Ω„Ω‡ Ψ£ΩƒΨ¨Ψ±: Allah is worthy of far more veneration than I can possible give him."
When you see a victory, " Ψ§Ω„Ω„Ω‡ Ψ£ΩƒΨ¨Ψ±: this victory is a manifestation of Allah's might, and Allah's might is infinitely more mighty than this victory."
When you see an evil, " Ψ§Ω„Ω„Ω‡ Ψ£ΩƒΨ¨Ψ±: Allah is negated from this evil; Allah is greater that this evil be done and He can get rid of this evil."
When you are in a difficult situation, " Ψ§Ω„Ω„Ω‡ Ψ£ΩƒΨ¨Ψ±: Allah is the One who can easily deal with this situation, no difficulty is difficult for Allah to resolve."
And so forth. By saying the takbΔ«r, Allah is glorified, unconditionally, in all aspects, against any other being.
Ψ§Ω„Ω„Ω‡ Ψ£ΩƒΨ¨Ψ± Ψ§Ω„Ω„Ω‡ Ψ£ΩƒΨ¨Ψ± Ψ§Ω„Ω„Ω‡ Ψ£ΩƒΨ¨Ψ± Ω„Ψ§ Ψ§Ω„Ω‡ Ψ§Ω„Ψ§ Ψ§Ω„Ω„Ω‡
Ψ§Ω„Ω„Ω‡ Ψ£ΩƒΨ¨Ψ± Ψ§Ω„Ω„Ω‡ Ψ£ΩƒΨ¨Ψ± ΩˆΩ„Ω„Ω‡ Ψ§Ω„ΨΩ…Ψ― Ψ§Ω„Ω„Ω‡

The European Union has denounced the no-confidence vote against Somalia's Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire, saying his ouster showed "serious disrespect for the constitutional foundations" of the country. On Saturday, 170 out of the 178 MPs in Somalia's parliament backed the no-confidence motion and President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo immediately endorsed it. Bobi Wine is the President of National Unity Platform (NUP) and Presidential Flag Bearer in 2021 General Election

Bobi Wine is the President of National Unity Platform (NUP) and Presidential Flag Bearer in 2021 General Election

Today, we gather here for yet another important step in our liberation struggle.
When we started the People Power Movement about three years ago, we had lengthy discussions about whether or not to register a political party. Our analysis led us to the conclusion that it was both untimely and impractical to form a political party. In any case, we were alive to the fact that the regime would foil any attempt to register People Power as a political party.
Indeed, at the end of 2018, our legal team tried to reserve the name People Power, just in case we needed to formally register at some point. As expected, we found that this name had been reserved and flagged so that we could not register it.
Since then, we have continued to struggle as a political and social movement advocating for change. Therefore, while we believe so much in multi-party democracy, we knew that the present circumstances have been largely restrictive of political parties. You have all observed the challenges encountered by parties such as the FDC. Our view then was that we should maintain the People Power Movement as the glue that brings all people together, regardless of their political affiliations.
As you all know, our message has been Mission 2021. Right from 2018, we have been telling all of you to ready yourselves for the 2021 election, because we believe that together, we can and must use that election to overwhelm and remove the dictatorship.
However, for weeks and months, there is one question which everyone has been asking us. What symbol shall we use in this election? A few weeks back when we announced the call for expression of interest, over 10,000 people responded so that they run under our platform.
Every day, we have been receiving countless calls about one thing- what is the symbol?
Expectedly, all our people would want to have a uniform symbol for liberation. They know that if they go into this election as independents, the regime will ensure that the symbol which I have is not available to any other of our candidates.
Therefore we must act, and act now. And today, I am very happy to announce the answer to this question.
As Mandela taught us, "A freedom fighter learns the hard way that it is the oppressor who defines the nature of the struggle, and the oppressed is often left no recourse but to use methods that mirror those of the oppressor." Having realised that the People Power Movement itself would never be registered by the Museveni regime, it became very urgent and expedient to find a solution.
And so, a few months back, when we predicted that we would find ourselves in this situation, we embarked on finding a solution. We set out to silently identify a Platform which we would use to answer this question. Although many political parties and organisations had reached out to us, our first and most important criteria was to look out for a formation which shares our values, aims and objectives. And there are many which do, but there was a political organisation whose message and objectives rhymed well with those very close to us. In order to make the message even stronger, in July 2019, we went ahead and successfully changed the name of this political organisation from National Unity, Reconciliation and Development Party to the National Unity Platform.
Therefore, today I stand here to announce to the nation that we are unveiling the National Unity Platform as the political wing of the People Power Movement. The National Unity Platform is a political organisation duly registered with the Electoral Commission and our symbol is an umbrella.
This symbol is definitely one of the things that attracted us to this political organisation because like we have said over and over again, we believe in national unity. We believe in having a platform that will bring in all oppressed Ugandans, and that is why we are launching the National Unity Platform whose symbol is an umbrella.
Finally, I know there are those who may ask themselves where this leaves comrades and fellow leaders who belong to other registered political organisations. Friends, we are People Power. In the coming days, we shall embark on the process of formalising the People Power Alliance. The People Power Alliance shall be comprised of different political formations which we have been working with and those that will be willing to join us. Formal engagements with many of these brothers and sisters have already been ongoing and they will continue.
Finally, let me reiterate that what we are launching today is largely a symbol and a political platform that will usher us into the 2021 election. Akabobero umbrella. But we shall continue to do activities as the People Power Movement. Friends, this is not a new phenomenon. Throughout history, liberation strugglists have often found themselves having to run their course with a political wing and an activist or military wing. The ANC is a political party in South Africa, but circumstances demanded that they form an armed wing called uMkhonto we Sizwe. The examples are so many.
In our case, we have consistently said that we are a non-violent movement and we have no plans of establishing a military wing. What we are doing today is to launch a political wing of our Movement so as to ensure that our mission to use the election as a strategy within the liberation struggle succeeds.
To our candidates who have already picked and filled the expression of interest forms, the Election Management Committee will be reaching out to you with other details and guidelines.
I thank you amd may God bless you.

Big Eye StarBoss has officially started campaigning for Bobi Wine!

No musician is safe ever since Hon Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine stood againts Mr Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. Even us who support the NRM we are not safe. Alot of unlawfull things and unfair things are going to be done to dis organise this music industry, separate it and put it down. Fellow musicians open your eyes widely. We have even started seeing some media houses/Entertainment programs being paid to expose musicians with an aim of spoiling musicians image. If am not mistaken we might even be the reason why this country is still in lockdown so that we don't do any shows to earn. May be we better stand with Hon Robert Kyagulanyi who will understand our pain.

Repatriation of Ugandans resumes - here is the schedule
The first batch to arrive back home upon the resumption of the exercise will come from Qatar and the US.

REPATRIATION
KAMPALA - A total of 488 Ugandans are expected to arrive back home Saturday (July 18) from Qatar and the US, as the Ugandan government resumes its exercise of repatriating Ugandans and legal residents stranded abroad due to the closure of Entebbe International Airport and the land borders following the outbreak of the new coronavirus.
The repatriation exercise, which was as a result of Government's decision to allow a safe and phased return of all stranded Ugandans and legal residents, began on May 18.
But the exercise was put on hold for two weeks, starting July 4, to "allow the Ministry of Health to efficiently manage the numbers in the quarantine", according to a statement by the foreign affairs ministry.
"Other breaks for the same pupose have been taken into account in the planning," the statement adds.
In its statement, the foreign affairs ministry has included a table showing the details of the repatriation, including flight information and the arrival dates.
(We have cropped out the earlier arrivals in order to start from Saturday's arrivals):
