🔥 MONDAY NIGHT REVOLT BY GEORGE FLOYD IN THE UNITED STATES!

Two nights after George Floyd's murder by Minnesota police, the popular uprising expanded across the four corners of the country. In Minneapolis, Floyd, the night was marked by strong clashes, with cars and buildings on fire, barricades were erected in every corner of the city and large stores were looted. The house of the officer responsible for Floyd's murder was surrounded by protesters, and his police station is totally destroyed. The city is out of control and police are fully acuated.

Here are some reports from It's Going Down:
✊ Bus drivers refuse to transport the dozens of people arrested by police.
✊ Local gangs took to the streets to defend protesters from far-right armed militias who patrol the city and defend the big stores of looters.
✊ The revolt has become multi-racial. Several communities are together on the streets protesting: Jews, Muslims, white, black, Asian, Latinos...
✊ Churches opened their doors to house protesters during police tear gas attacks.

ZAKATUL ALFITR

Zakat is a religious obligation, ordering all Muslims who meet the necessary criteria to donate a certain portion of wealth each year to charitable causes. Giving away money to the poor is said to purify yearly earnings that are over and above what is required to provide the essential needs of a person or family.

Abdullah bin ‘Abbas when he said, “The Messenger of Allah, may Allah praise and send peace and blessings upon him, obligated Zakah al-Fitr to serve as purification for the one fasting for any vain speech or indecent behaviour; and also to serve as food for the indigent. Whoever gives it before the prayer (of ‘Id), it is an accepted zakah, whoever gives it after the prayer, it is to be regarded as sadaqah.” [Recorded by Abu Dawud and authenticated by Al-Albani]

«عن ابن عباس قال: فرض رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم زكاة الفطر طهرة للصائم من اللغو والرفث وطعمة للمساكين من أداها قبل الصلاة فهي زكاة مقبولة ومن أداها بعد الصلاة فهي صدقة من الصدقات» رواه أبو داود وصححه الألباني

Zakat is based on the value of all of one's possessions. It is customarily 2.5% (or 1/40) of a Muslim's total savings and wealth above a minimum amount known as nisab, but Islamic scholars differ on how much nisab is and other aspects of zakat.
