Police warns people of scams doing rounds on Social Media platforms

Police warns people of scams doing rounds on social media platforms

The police in Mpumalanga are warning the public to exercise careful thoughts to avoid falling into prey to various social media scams as there is an upsurge of criminality involving these platforms.

During this period, a number of people experience difficult economic challenges in their lives and this situation present a window opportunity to criminals to look for available measures with a view to scam unsuspecting individuals of their hard earned cash. Truth be told that criminals would take any available opportunity and use it to their evil advantage to lure victims and swindle their cash.

The police have been warning people to be vigilant about these criminals in a sheep skin who pose themselves as potential employers or sales persons sailing under false colours on social media. This comes after victims of social media came forward to report incidents at which they were conned in separate incidents by charlatans. Reports suggest that victims would be encouraged to deposit cash into these "bogus employers or fake sales representatives. These are merely heart breaking criminals who take advantage of people who are desperate or lacks information.

Police would like to warn members of the community to desist from paying money to dubious people who promise them lucrative favours in a form of employment or business deals because there are no jobs for sale. Legitimate job opportunities do not require an upfront payment for administration purposes or any other means. The police take this opportunity to categorically condemn the tendencies of these faceless criminals as it is evil and often rob victims of their last cent.

HOW TO USE A FACE MASK.

What is a face mask.

Face masks are one tool utilized for preventing the spread of disease. They may also be called dental, isolation, laser, medical, procedure, or surgical masks. Face masks are loose-fitting masks that cover the nose and mouth, and have ear loops or ties or bands at the back of the head. There are many different brands and they come in different colors. A face mask also protects the wearer’s nose and mouth from splashes or sprays of body fluids.

When should a face mask be worn.

Consider wearing a face mask when you are sick with a cough or sneezing illness (with or without fever) and you expect to be around other people. The face mask will help protect them from catching your illness. Healthcare settings have specific rules for when people should wear face masks but don't forget its now compulsory for everyone to wear a face mask before leaving your home.

How to put on and remove a face mask.

Disposable face masks should be used once and then thrown in the trash. You should also remove and replace masks when they become moist.

*Clean your hands with soap and water or hand sanitizer before touching the mask.
*Remove a mask from the box and make sure there are no obvious tears or holes in either side of the mask.
*Determine which side of the mask is the top. The side of the mask that has a stiff bendable edge is the top and is meant to mold to the shape of your nose.
*Determine which side of the mask is the front. The colored side of the mask is usually the front and should face away from you, while the white side touches your face.

Surah As-Saffat, Verses 158-160:

Surah As-Saffat, Verses 158-160:

{158. And they have invented a lineage between Him and the Jinn, but the Jinn know well that they [who made such claims] have indeed to appear [before Him]. 159. Exalted is Allah (swt) above what they attribute to Him! 160. Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin].}

The idolaters said that the angels were the daughters of Allah (swt). Abu Bakr (ra) said, 'Then who are their mothers?' They said, `The daughters of the leaders of the Jinn.’ Exalted is He above what they say.

Allah (SWT) says: 'but the jinn know well that those who say that, they will be brought forth for punishment on the Day of Reckoning, because of the lies and falsehood that they uttered without knowledge.

Exalted, sanctified and glorified be He- far above having any offspring and far above what the wrongdoers and heretics attribute to Him.

Lockdown preventing spread of Covid-19; research Proves

Lockdown preventing spread of Covid-19; research proves

If statistics from South Africa is an indication for Namibia, the quick announcement of the state of emergency and the following lockdown announced in Erongo and Khomas by government, succeeded in containing the spread of Covid-19.
With all the originally infected patients importing the disease from abroad, and nominally infecting their close contacts, the community spreading of the disease has largely been contained.
A study in South Africa has found that Covid-19 cases have mostly been contained to cities.
Johannesburg's mostly affluent suburbs in Sandton, Randburg and surrounding areas have the highest concentration of cases in the city. This is considered the epicentre of the outbreak in South Africa.
Gauteng, followed by KwaZulu-Natal has the most cases per province.
A recent study in South Africa indicates that most confirmed Covid-19 cases increase in frequency in densely populated areas. On Monday South Africa reported 2 272 positive cases and 27 deaths.
Most of South Africa’s cases are self-isolating at home and are not hospitalised.
Far fewer cases are recorded in areas further removed from cities with the largest clusters of infections occurring in cities with international airports.
Leading health officials in South Africa warned the epidemic was evolving, changing to local transmission at a low level – people unknowingly infecting their families and contacts.
Had a lockdown not been in place local transmission might have spread far more widely as infected people would have travelled to other parts of the country.
Worst-case scenarios for South Africa paint a grim picture with Gauteng experiencing 1.5 million Covid-19 infections by the end of winter, followed by KwaZulu-Natal with one million.

Reports are saying King Mswati III has been hospitalized with COVID-19

Reports from ESwatini are saying the Kingdom’s absolute monarch King Mswati III has been admitted to hospital in critical condition. The king has been in self-isolation since receiving visitors from Taiwan as part of a delegation delivering military ordinance to the landlocked country. The absence of the king from public life has caused a stir in ESwatini, which was amplified when the royal family cancelled a press conference scheduled for Sunday. The reports say the king was admitted to Manzana Royal Hospital in a critical condition and was struggling to breathe. After the Swaziland News ran their story about the king’s admission to hospital, The Royal ESwatini Police issued a notice appealing to anyone who knows the whereabouts of the editor of the publication to assist them with information. ESwatini has to date confirmed 12 cases of COVID-19 and is on a partial lockdown to limit the spread of COVID-19.
