When planning our recent trip to Cyprus, we were a bit hesitant about traveling in winter
|
|
WINTER IN CYPRUS - BEST THINGS TO DO:
|
|
Explore its capital city, Nicosia
|
|
|
Nicosia
(Lefkosia) is known as the last divided capital city of the world as
its southern half belongs to the Republic of Cyprus (with an
internationally acknowledged government) and the other half is still
occupied by the Turkish army today. The Green Line divides these two
halves but you can cross from one side to the other easily via the Ledra
Street pedestrianized crossing (remember to bring your passport!) The
southern half is such an intriguing city with a mishmash of Greek
orthodox churches and Muslim mosques, taverns and tea houses, markets
and baths.

Retrace history at the Kourion Archaeological Site
|
|
|
Digging
into the island's past is one of the most interesting things to do in
Cyprus. There are plenty of archaeological sites on Cyprus, but the most
spectacular one (in my opinion) is the Kourion Archaeological Site.
Originally built in the 2nd century B.C., it's been immaculately
preserved. Famed for its magnificent amphitheatre, Kourion is also home
to beautiful mosaic tiles, colonnades and baths. We found it comparable
to the magnificent ancient sites in Greece and Turkey, and highly
recommend a visit for any history buff.

|
Go hiking in the Troodos Mountains
|
|
|
Away
from the touristically developed beach towns, Cyprus brims with empty
hiking trails and challenging biking paths further inland. The Troodos
Mountains are one of the best regions to pull your hiking boots on. We
chose to hike the Kaledonia Nature Trail, an easy 3-km gradual uphill
hike through pine forests, running streams and ending at the Kaledonia
waterfalls. There are many other hiking trails to choose from in this
area, with many recommending the Asinou-Agios Theodoros trail. It begins
at the Byzantine-frescoed Panagia Forviotissa church.

and inside out. Chase has opened her eyes to a world she never knew
existed. Unfortunately, this world is also full of danger.
A demon who wanted her for himself. A Vampire King who attempted to kidnap her mate as leverage to force her into breaking a curse laid onto his people. A group of humans who call themselves Orion Hunters, leading the attacks on their supernatural communities. The dragons are doing their best to keep her and her sisters safe, but Violca wants answers. While planning her wedding to Chase, Violca hatches a plan that she hopes will tilt the odds in their favor.
Kassandra's Wolf
She drugged him!
Damien had never before been as outraged until he awoke in his apartment—alone. His head sore and his ego deeply bruised, his body ached for the release her enticing body had promised when they walked up those stairs a few hours earlier. The whole situation would’ve been laughable except for the fact that his wolf imprinted on her. Damien knew that from now until the day he died, she will be the only one for him—and she had drugged him. After a quick search of the bar, he decided that nothing notable was missing, leaving Damien hoping that whatever she was looking for—she didn’t find. Maybe, his delectable thief would try again, at his home next time. Kassandra is the only Dragon Guard who has the ability to hide her scent. So, when the wayward Dragon Prince Dmitri is spotted in the same town as the wolf shifter Damien, it becomes her responsibility to see what he is up to. Not finding what she is looking for at his bar, she makes a plan to sneak into his house—imagine her surprise when he is there waiting for her. When he mistakes her for a common thief, Damien offers an ultimatum: spend two days with him or he will turn her in and plaster her picture everywhere. Damien has two days to convince her to stay and give in to the attraction. Kassandra has two days to get the information she came for and make her escape. But, with trouble circling them and her growing desire for him—will she be able to walk away? Will it even matter once he finds out who she really is?
Warrick's Hope
No amount of magic can separate those the Fates have bond together.
Alpha shifter Warrick has spent the last forty years in captivity, tortured and replaced by his sadistic twin brother, Gabriel. His only happiness comes by knowing that his sacrifice has protected his mate, Hope. Hope has spent years believing that her mate betrayed her and killed her parents. But when she and her brother, Damien, attempt to defeat Warrick and take back their pack, Hope is surprised to find Warrick broken, beaten, and clinging to life. Her mate hasn’t betrayed her, after all. Now the two long-lost mates have a chance to rebuild their packs - and their relationship. But Hope struggles to overcome years of misplaced anger and Warrick is crippled by guilt. And Gabriel is still out there, waiting for a chance to strike again. Buy Link: Amazon ~Nook ~ Kobo |
