President Museveni Statement On Petition Victory

President Museveni Statement On Petition Victory
President Museveni was legally declared winner of the recently concluded presidential elections by the Supreme Court of Uganda after Amama Mbabazi's petition was dismissed yesterday.
In his statement, President Museveni cites the Supreme Court "...found that the General Elections held on the 18th of February, reflected the will of people of Uganda. "

The lawyers normally talk of 'reasonable men' when referring to what people can believe or otherwise.
As the Monitor newspaper, notwithstanding your nature, would realize, Judges are 'reasonable men and women' plus, plus.
That is how they become Judges in the first place. I am not surprised, therefore, that they found that the General Elections held on the 18th of February, reflected the will of people of Uganda.
In fact, the NRM scored more votes but many of them were suppressed as invalid votes - almost 5% of the total votes cast. We did not bother to complain about this because we had enough votes to decisively win.
Why inconvenience Ugandans with unnecessary altercations?
It also shows how institutions of the state have grown and recovered from the problems of the 1960s, 70s and early 1980s.
I salute the people of Uganda and the state institutions of Uganda. I also salute the NRM fraternity for their efforts during the whole electoral cycle
Yoweri Kaguta Museveni
CHAIRMAN NRM AND PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF UGANDA
31st March 2016

Mugenyi Nicholas
Mugenyi Nicholas #Congratulations to you and NRM as a mass party at large. I do buy the ideology of the mass political party as it has instilled tremendously great discipline in the NRM supporters who always prefer remaining calm, tolerant, accommodative and peace loving unlike the other parties. However we need more leaders who come back to the ground to get real issues affecting communities and increased monitoring to assess the impact of the implementation of various Government projects that will see us move our beloved mother, Uganda to greatest heights. #His Excellence the President of Uganda, always do your best to supervise the various institutions with out their notice once in a while to awaken the sleeping officers who always do a disservice to this great Uganda thus letting down our country. Ambassadors who can't market the country abroad and can't deffend the interest of Uganda should become rejects and checked because if they can't bargain well for Uganda's cause, then they are not worth to represent Uganda abroad especially in improving the International relations of Uganda. #I personally thank you for the #surprise visit you made to #Mulago National Referral Hospital some days back and please do that continuously in various organizations across the country for it will better service delivery by relevant authorities. FOR GOD AND MY COUNTRY

Joseph Balyesiima I like and lv my mother land Uganda coz,- its only in ug where when da opposition win acourt case then justice has been vice-versa, where when another view ov different thinking is commented only yields abuses and at the end ufind therefore many/some shun commenting on public issues its very unfortunate that everyones oppinion isn't respected.
