Hi there,
After weeks of Nigerians demanding to know the health status of
President Muhammadu Buhari, this week the presidency finally released a
picture of the President at lunch with some APC party leaders in London.
From all indications it looks as though is recuperating and perhaps he
might return to the country soon, Once again, a dark cloud looms in
Borno as an ambush by Boko Haram has left up to 30 people including
civilians and soldiers dead.
Meanwhile the Nigerian Air Force revealed that Boko Haram insurgents may
be regrouping in the Sambisa forest. In a bid to curb the activities of
the terrorist group, the Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali has
revealed that three service chiefs would be moving back to the command
centre in Maiduguri.
Following petitions and protests, the Nigerian Senate on Wednesday, July
26, 2017, passed the Not Too Young To Run bill which seeks reduce the
age limits for elective positions. Once this bill is endorsed by the
House of Assembly, Nigerian youths will be given the opportunity to take
part in governance.
