NRM, DP & JEEMA CALL FOR JOINT EFFORT IN CURBING CORONA VIRUS
NRM Secretary General Rt. Hon Justine Kasule Lumumba and her counterparts from DP and JEEMA have jointly called upon their respective Political Party members at different levels to work together in fighting the spread of Covid 19 in Uganda.
The three Secretaries General have also pledged to live by example as they continue guiding those at lower levels.
They have stated their willingness in shelving their political differences (if any) during this trying moment and concentrate all their leadership skills towards combatting Corona Virus.
Rt. Hon. Lumumba (NRM), Dr. Siranda Gerald Blacks (DP) and Mr. Mohammed Katerega (JEEMA) made their commitment while talking to the media shortly after the launch of the food distribution program by the Rt. Hon. Prime Minister in Kampala earlier today.
Lumumba said: "There can never be politics without people. We must secure the lives of the players before we get back into the ring to talk politics. We must be a team and it's our wish that others emulate our example. I call upon the LCs to closely monitor this food distribution so that it reaches the targeted audience"
Dr. Siranda (DP), "Politics can wait, we are now a united force scoring in the same goal and at the end of the campaign, there will be no losers. I urge all members of the formidable Democratic Party to work with anybody around them regardless of our political colours, tribes or religion. It's a war that cuts across boarders"
Mr. Katerega (JEEMA): "Its during such trying moments that unity counts more. As political parties, we may differ in ideology but human life sits top on our agenda. Corona Virus doesn't discriminate colours and as a result our conserted efforts against it is paramount.
