Donald Trump goes to war with Andrew Cuomo after NY governor accuses him of risking constitutional crisis. Trump said any governor who resisted his 'total authority' is a mutineer (soldier who refuses to obey the orders of a person in authority). The president also threatened to withhold coronavirus aid from states that do not heed his orders to reopen the country.

The New York governor said he would refuse an order from Trump to reopen his state and said he would take the matter to the courts to decide. Cuomo called the president 'schizophrenic (having a mental disorder and interpreting reality abnormally). New York is the most affected state in terms of infections and deaths and Cuomo said president Trump is clearly spoiling for a fight on this issue. He however expressed that he would find it better to walk away from the fight with the president than engaging in it.
