Guardians urged to be responsible.
The Commissioner of Police CP Fred Enanga has urged parents and guardians to be responsible and attend to their children especially during this Covid 19 pandemic.
Enanga said" Parents have a tendency of leaving their children unattended to during this Lockdown period and as a result, wrong doers take advantage and commit atrocities against the children "
He said Police on 15/05/2020 at an unknown night time, at Kigoowa Cell, Kiryamuli Ward, Gombe Division in Wakiso District, two (2) Juveniles identified as Iryahoza Rodrique aged 13 years and Muhoozi Daniel aged 6 years, both children of Muberarugo Irene, a Rwandan national were abducted by unknown person (s) from their home.
Enanga added that, " At the time of the incident, the children were sleeping in the sitting room while their mother was in the bedroom with her current man friend when unknown person opened the door and disappeared with the juveniles."
It is reported that the biological father of the two juveniles, one Orikumwenimana Teopfiroux a Rwandan national residing in Kisenyi Kampala who separated with Muberarugo Irene 5 years ago and has been threatening to take his children.
Enanga said inquiries are ongoing by Crime Intelligence and Criminal Investigation Department to trace the abductor(s) whereabouts and rescue the juveniles.

On the on going Lockdown, The Police spokesman also revealed that five (5) persons were murdered and six (6) suspects arrested for murder as a result of domestic violence and land wrangles.
Enanga said, On 16/05/2020 at an unknown night time, at Byarushengye Village, Kitashekwa Parish, Rweikiniro Sub County in Ntungamo District, one Kanyarutoke Eldard aged 65 years , hacked his wife Tibekinga Christine aged 45 years to death and two children identified as Kanyarutooke John and Bejangana Joseph aged 6 and 4 years respectively.
He revealed that the suspect also cut and injured another child only identified as Magoba a female juvenile aged 9 years who was later admitted at Dr. Karuhanga's Hospital in Rubare, however the suspect later hunged himself.
On Violation of Presidential Directives on Covid 19, Enanga said there was a general good response by the public despite some isolated incidents of defiance continue to be registered in some parts of the country.
He said the week saw arrest of 267 people who were found violating the Presidential Directives on Covid 19, 60 motorcycles, 02 motor vehicles and 03 bicycles which were driven without permits, motor cyclists for carrying passengers while others were moving during curfew hours which led to their impoundment.
