THESE ARE SIGNS YOU MIGHT NOT BE GETTING ENOUGH SLEEP.

THESE ARE SIGNS YOU MIGHT NOT BE GETTING ENOUGH SLEEP.
resolve to get more sleep.
Adults need eight (8) hours of sleep each night.
Getting a good night's sleep is crucial for your mental and physical wellbeing. There are two types of sleep – ‘deep sleep’ and ‘dream sleep’. Good quality sleep is about the amount of ‘deep sleep’ a person gets, not the length of sleep.
Most ‘deep sleep’ occurs during the first five hours after falling asleep. Sleep can be disrupted for a number of reasons, such as illness, pain, anxiety or depression.
How disrupted sleep affects your wellbeing
Examples of disrupted sleep patterns
- difficulty in getting to sleep
- poor-quality sleep
- less sleep
- frequently waking during the night
- waking very early in the morning and being unable to get back to sleep.
TIPS FOR IMPROVING YOUR SLEEP
WHEN YOU WAKE IN THE MORNING
- get out of bed immediately
- get up at approximately the same time every day
- get some fresh air by going outside
- do some physical activity.
DURING THE DAY
- don’t nap during the day
- try to be physically active
- limit your caffeine intake and avoid caffeine after 4pm
- address any stressful issues during the day.
BEFORE GOING TO BED
- avoid going to bed too early as it isn’t the right time for ‘deep sleep’
- avoid smoking, vigorous exercise and drinking alcohol
- don’t go to bed hungry or with a full bladder
- allow yourself time to wind down
- avoid using electronic devices in your bedroom or within 30 minutes of your bedtime
- avoid sleeping pills where possible.
WHILE YOU SLEEP
- keep your bedroom quiet, dark, well ventilated and cool
- avoid too many blankets and electric blankets – if you’re too hot, you won’t go into a deep sleep.
Making your New Month a memorable to get good 8-hours sleep each night is the easiest (and laziest) way to create a 'new you' without really doing much at all.
Good Morning.

Bobi Wine: We shall rally Uganda to take part in everything that will bring about change. We must be seen as people here to free Ugandans. Even this lockdown is political. #COVID19 has been politicized. Museveni doesn’t care whether we live or die provided he stays in State House.

Bobi Wine: The majority of TV and radio stations are owned by regime apologists. This is not about balance because you can never push a dictator. As soon as the EC came out with this nonsense, the media quickly came in to make it sound rosy.
Museveni is at his weakest point. I dare him to a real election. Any candidate comfortable with this joke of a scientific election is working with him. Our mission is to take off Museveni. We are not joking.

Bobi Wine: The entire world should put their eyes on Uganda. As Ugandans, we should watch our steps. Don’t be fooled by the EC. Uganda must defy that information from the EC. They are our servants and not our bosses. Justice Byabakama should know that he is in a very sensitive position. I don’t want to be politically correct. I say it as it is.

Malawi's opposition leader Lazarus Chakwera has won the country's rerun presidential vote, officials say.

Malawi's opposition leader Lazarus Chakwera has won the country's rerun presidential vote, officials say.
He defeated incumbent Peter Mutharika with 58.57% of the vote in Tuesday's poll, the electoral commission announced late on Saturday.
In February, Malawi's constitutional court annulled Mr Mutharika's victory in the May 2019 election, citing vote tampering.
The country was bitterly divided in the run-up to this week's election.
Following the official result on Saturday, Mr Chakwera said his victory was "a win for democracy and justice," adding: "My heart is bubbling with joy."
His supporters took to the streets of the Malawian capital, Lilongwe, sounding car horns and letting off fireworks.
Mr Chakwera is expected to be sworn in on Sunday.
This is a hugely significant moment in Malawi's political history, and is evidence that neither the courts nor the electorate were prepared to be bullied or influenced by presidential power.
The incumbent Peter Mutharika's narrow victory in last year's poll was cancelled by the Constitutional Court after evidence emerged that correction fluid had been used to alter the vote tallies. He then turned to the Supreme Court for help. Judges there came under a lot of pressure but stood firm.
Unlike Uganda, The Malawi Electoral Commission comprises of a Chairperson; a judge nominated by the Judicial Service Commission not the president. And it also comprises of atleast six Commissioners appointed by the President in consultation with all political parties represented in Parliament. The President then appoints suitably qualified persons to be members of the commission and the Public Appointments Committee of Parliament determines their conditions of Service.
So, the opposition win in Malawi starts from the chore foundation and independence of the electoral commission. For Uganda to achive this, there must be changes done in the appointment of the electoral commission

Police warns people of scams doing rounds on Social Media platforms

Police warns people of scams doing rounds on social media platforms
The police in Mpumalanga are warning the public to exercise careful thoughts to avoid falling into prey to various social media scams as there is an upsurge of criminality involving these platforms.
During this period, a number of people experience difficult economic challenges in their lives and this situation present a window opportunity to criminals to look for available measures with a view to scam unsuspecting individuals of their hard earned cash. Truth be told that criminals would take any available opportunity and use it to their evil advantage to lure victims and swindle their cash.
The police have been warning people to be vigilant about these criminals in a sheep skin who pose themselves as potential employers or sales persons sailing under false colours on social media. This comes after victims of social media came forward to report incidents at which they were conned in separate incidents by charlatans. Reports suggest that victims would be encouraged to deposit cash into these "bogus employers or fake sales representatives. These are merely heart breaking criminals who take advantage of people who are desperate or lacks information.
Police would like to warn members of the community to desist from paying money to dubious people who promise them lucrative favours in a form of employment or business deals because there are no jobs for sale. Legitimate job opportunities do not require an upfront payment for administration purposes or any other means. The police take this opportunity to categorically condemn the tendencies of these faceless criminals as it is evil and often rob victims of their last cent.

IF PEOPLE CAN ATTEND TO BUSINESS, THEY CAN ALSO ATTEND RALLIES AND CAMPAIGNS - BOBI WINE.

IF PEOPLE CAN ATTEND TO BUSINESS, THEY CAN ALSO ATTEND RALLIES AND CAMPAIGNS - BOBI WINE.
I am definitely running for presidency and also vocal about other national issues. I will run under the People power movement which bring people from all political parties including the NRM.
We are forces of change. We shall find a way to meet our people as we have always done and we shall get their thoughts on the issues concerning the country, that’s how we are generating our manifesto. The consultations where blocked but we will continue interfacing with the people.
The forces of change did not start yesterday, we are different leaders from the opposition. Last week we got together with Besigye as our supporters were against each other and we wanted to use this as a way to unite them.
An election alone will not remove the incumbent and we hope that we can stand with each other in our strategies. We hope to have one leader for the forces of change. I have presented my self as that candidate and discussions continue to have that one candidate.
We shall choose one opposition candidate (one on one model) to stand against one NRM candidate in each elective post. It won’t matter the party as long as the candidate is strong.
Our No, Nedda campaign is to help wake up our people by making noise. We are taking in consideration the law for the campaigns. The law provides for public rallies, I believe the scientific campaigns are a joke. I think government is hiding behind covid-19. If people can attend to their business in Kikuubo then they can attend rallies.

BTS And Big Hit Entertainment Donate $1 Million To Crew Nation in support of concert crew members financially impacted after the postponement of concerts during COVID-19!πŸ‘πŸ’°1️⃣Ⓜ️πŸ‘‘πŸ’œ
BTS and Big Hit Entertainment have donated $1 million to Crew Nation,in support of concert crew members financially impacted after the postponement of concerts during the COVID-19 crisis. Crew Nation was created in March with an initial $5 million donation, and it has promised to match a further $5 million donated by artists, fans, and employees. The fund gives a one-time grant of $1,000 to crew members who make 50 percent or more of their income from live performances.
Since BTS had a large world tour planned for this year, their donation is aimed to help out people who would have played a big part in staging their shows. The announcement states, “This is one of the largest artist donations that has been raised for the Crew Nation fund since its conception.”
Over 70 live concert crew members originally scheduled to work on BTS’s concerts have alrrady received funding. 1,000 live concert crew members all over the world will be supported by the fund, and people of all nationalities, including Koreans, can apply to receive help from Crew Nation: “If it weren’t for COVID-19, we would have been happily touring across the world with many of our live concert crews by now,” said BTS. “We are aware that a lot of communities need help due to COVID-19, and we wanted to support the music industry crews by making a donation. We hope to meet again on stage very soon.”
CEO #LenzoYoon of Big Hit stated: “It is very unfortunate that the music industry has to go through such difficult time at the moment” continuing: “We hope our contribution to Crew Nation could help support many live concert crews around the world.”

STATEMENT ON THE SO-CALLED SCIENTIFIC ELECTION - Hon. Bobi Wine

STATEMENT ON THE SO-CALLED SCIENTIFIC ELECTION
Men and women of Uganda,
I salute you for standing firm even when our nation stands on a shaky ground.
Today we come together yet again when our country faces one of the greatest contradictions of our times.
The blood of the men and women who paid the ultimate price to restore democracy in our mother land is crying out. It has a been a long story of false promises and blatant lies.
We have seen this all through the 35 years of blood and tears under the repressive Museveni regime.
When he moved to remove the age limit from the Constitution and crown himself life president, it began as a joke. In fact, he himself denied it in the beginning, but took only a few weeks before Parliament was raided, Members of Parliament were bribed and some of our people were killed fighting for the survival of our constitutional order.
Many Ugandans thought that was the worst they had seen! Nobody believed that there was any worse a person could do to stay in power!
But now we all see that a dictator will go to any height and to any depth to keep in power against the will of the people.
Museveni, like all dictators before him, is determined to keep in power at any cost. He does not care what happens to the people of Uganda, as long as he is in State House!
Fellow Ugandans, Museveni is at it again. He recently met with the Electoral Commission and gave them orders to organize what he called a scientific election.
Using the coronavirus as an excuse, he is banning public rallies and other aspects of an election as we know them!
No Ugandan should be fooled into believing that Museveni is doing this for the safety of Ugandans. As we speak now, most urban places are filled with people going about their usual business uninterrupted. No social distancing, no nothing. If anyone has any doubts, please visit Kikuubo, or any other urban place. Therefore Museveni and the Electoral Commission should not take Ugandans for fools.
As you all recall, there was no coronavirus when our consultations were blocked.
There was no coronavirus when Museveni personally ordered the blocking of our music shows.
What Museveni fears is the people. He was hiding behind the Public Order Management Act and now he's hiding under COVID19 to block us from reaching the people.
Therefore, there is nothing like a scientific election. For us, we are going for a real election because a scientific election is not an election.
The promise of our Constitution is a free and fair election.
A free and fair election means that every person who has a right to vote can go and express his or her will voluntary, without being influenced by money and intimidation. It means that all candidates are given equal opportunities to convey their message to the voters so that voters can make an informed choice.
I have said it before and I will say it again, that on behalf of the millions of oppressed and exploited people, I will be challenging Museveni in an election that is envisaged by the law.
But let me use this opportunity to put President Museveni on notice. You might have forgotten what you said in 1980 but we have not forgotten. On the eve of the 1980 election, you, Museveni, put Obote on notice. You said that if he rigged that election, you would go to the bush and fight against him. We have come to that point yet again.
We are telling you that you either organize a free and fair election or step down peacefully, but if you continue provoking the patience of the people of Uganda, they will rise up against you and you will end up in the dustbin of history like your friend Ghadafi, like your friend Mobutu and like your friend Omar El Bashir.

DEMOCRACY IS EARNED, NOT GIVEN

DEMOCRACY IS EARNED, NOT GIVEN
#By Joseph Kabuleta

What can Uganda learn from Malawi, a small landlocked country (like Uganda), with hardly any natural resources (unlike Uganda), with just over a third of Uganda’s population and just under half of our income per capita. It is one of a few countries that Uganda has the right to call small and poor without any irony.
They’ve also had a relic of a three-decade presidency (luckily theirs is in the past) and have had their fair share of botched elections and all that.
But the past one year has seen their democracy come of age. I will give you a brief run-down.
They had an election in May 2019 in which the incumbent, 79 year-old Peter Mutharika, won by a narrow margin with 39% of the vote while his closest challenger, Lazarus Chakwera, 65, got just over 35%.
Lazarus (permit me to use his first name) went to court. Even as the litigation process went on --- it took three months --- there were protests all over the country. Court canceled the elections and ordered a new poll within 150 days. The incumbent appealed to higher courts but the ruling was upheld.

But brave Malawians didn’t stop at that. Through mass protests they demanded that the Electoral Commission boss steps aside, and she did.
But Mutharika, seeking a second term, turned his guns on the Chief Justice who had upheld the decision to annul the elections. He was placed on leave pending retirement with immediate effect. The notice read that he had accumulated more leave days than the remainder of his working days until his retirement due in December 2021. But the Judiciary fought back.
A statement signed by 60 law professors and academics from around the world said: “[The] actions constitute an unprecedented assault on judicial independence in Malawi” and the removal of the Chief Justice was an attempt “to frustrate elections by attacking the judiciary”.
The registrar of the supreme and high courts said that although a chief justice is appointed by the president and confirmed by the national assembly, all matters related to discipline and welfare fall within the “exclusive province” of the judiciary.
Just so you know, Peter Mutharika, the incumbent who has tried to use executive power to shut out the will of the people and the independence of the judiciary, is not a bush war soldier like….you know who, he is a former law professor at Washington university (where he spent 37 years) and an expert on international law and comparative constitutional law. He is the kind of man who you think would be a champion of democracy. His actions prove that theory can be so divorced from practice.
And so after a fight on all fronts; political, mass protests and the judiciary, the people of Malawi wake up this Monday morning, June 23, 2020, to go and vote for their next president, under a new and independent Electoral Commission and the brave judges who annulled last year’s poll are still on the bench. Campaigns have been open and massive (picture attached) and COVID-19 has not been used as an excuse to cheat an election. The people of that country have earned their right to choose a leader, they didn’t sit back and wish for it like most Ugandans.
Lazarus, the challenger, was proclaimed ‘dead’ after last year’s elections. But if he rises from the dead ---- like the Bible character from whom he got his name --- democracy in tiny Malawi will have risen with him.
Over to you Ugandans!!!

*Solar and Lunar Eclipses in Islam*

*Solar and Lunar Eclipses in Islam*
Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him said, "The sun and the moon are two signs amongst the signs of Allah. They do not eclipse because of someone's death or life. So when you see them, invoke Allah and pray till the eclipse is clear." [Agreed upon and this exact narration is for Muslim]
Allah is He, who created the sun, the moon, and the stars—[all] governed by laws under His commandment." (Quran 7:54)
"It is He who created the night and the day and the sun and the moon. All [the celestial bodies] swim along, each in its orbit." (Quran 21:33)
"The sun and the moon follow courses exactly computed." (Quran 55:05)
During a solar or lunar eclipse, there is a recommended prayer called the Prayer of the Eclipse (Salat al-Khusuf) that is performed by Muslim communities who may be in congregation at the time of the eclipse.

The High Court in Kampala has allowed Ugandans in the Diaspora and prisoners, to be involved in the voting of their leaders during general elections.

The High Court in Kampala has allowed Ugandans in the Diaspora and prisoners, to be involved in the voting of their leaders during general elections.

The Wednesday decision by Justice Lydia Mugambe, ends the 25- year ban on the voting rights of prisoners and Ugandans in the Diaspora.
Mr Steven Kalali was the applicant while the Attorney General and the Electoral Commission were the respondents.
Now this another plot to rig the elections. If you cant monitor poling stations in Uganda, how dare do you propose to have polling stations outside Uganda. The embassy shall be responsible and it is the ruling party which appoints all Embassy employees who are actually not appointed on merit. Whenever an NRM cadre loses in elections, is appointed ambassador. Every embassy has NRM cadres.
The people behind this petition were NRM cadres. That is obvious
