A BREAKDOWN OF YOUTH ELECTIONS
Nominations for parish youth elections shall be between 20th and 25th. This is what we need to capitalize on.
The youth leadership is structured in levels from lowest to highest. And the lowest level is a village, followed by parish then sub-county and then district and after district, it is regional and then highest is national. Therefore parish level is the second level from down
They select 9 people to represent them at Parish level elections
A lot of emphasis should be placed on Chairperson, Treasurer and women secretary
Pick nomination forms from EC, fill them, get them stamped and return them early.
There are many people on the ground ensuring that this process goes well but they need your help, People Power activists in Kampala are encouraged to head to the villages and put in the work.
Reach out to your youth Coordinators for clarity. Anyone can work for People Power, you do not need to ask for anyone for permission.
