Uganda Police Force has embarked on a witch-hunt spree of the people power and NUP candidates. Yesterday comrade Katerega Julius, the institutions leader of NUP in the Kampala metropolitan as well as the youth mobilizer for central region, together with 6 other colleagues were arrested and remanded to Kasangati prison.
Their only crime was to demand for a free and fair elections.
It’s not only illogical but completely misleading for government to respond to the young people’s cries for a better country with force, intimidation/threats, illegal detentions and torture.
We therefore call upon the young men and women, who constitute over 78% of this country to raise up in solidarity, meet up any hardship, pay any price and say enough is enough and in unison demand that this country under God, deserves a new birth of leadership.
The young men and women out there deserves to know that we hold an equal stake in this country, and time is on our side, we are going to stay here longer and it’s only prudent for us to get involved in fixing the mess created by purported liberators.
