UGANDANS, HAPPY PATRIOTS DAY
On the 13th, of August 2018 the events in Arua changed Uganda for good. We lost Yasin Kawuma, he was shot as he sat in the car, having a conversation with General Sauu MDaada. 33 leaders and activists including People Power leader Bobi Wine, People Power leader and general Sauu MDaada, and comrade Jane Abola from the Alliance of National Transformation.
This fateful day was the baptism of the People Power Movement. We continue to be inspired by these brave men and women that dared to believe and ended up paying a high price for that bravely.
Since August, 13TH 2018, People Power activists like Zulaikah Nalukenge have been kidnapped and tortured but just like the Arua 33, they have remained true to the movement for freedom and change in Uganda reminding the rest of us that we have to elevate our level of commitment towards ourselves and the People Power Movement in Uganda.
On this day we remember comrade Barbara Allimadi from the Alliance of National transformation to died mysteriously on April, 27Th 2020. We are reminded that parties should not divide us, but rather strengthen our support and ideas.
Keep your strength and courage strong.
